Job Summary:
As an Administrative Billing Specialist, you will work with our team to provide administrative, clerical, and billing support to management, departments, staff, and clients. You will have the benefit of working face-to-face with our clients and linking them to services to help them in their journey. Additionally, you will gain operational knowledge of a Non-profit and a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic in your work with our various departments, prescribers, mental health and substance use providers.

What You Will Do:

  • Contact clients regarding outstanding balances
  • Establish payment plans to help clients manage payment of bills
  • Send delinquent accounts to collection agencies
  • Process insurance payments to client accounts in computerized system
  • Create and mail insurance claims and client statements
  • Re-bill insurance companies or other third parties to secure payment for clients
  • Verify all entries made by Front Desk staff and makes corrections, if necessary
  • Train appropriate staff on computerized billing system
  • Respond to client billing and statements inquiries
  • Make recommendations to management for write-offs

What We Need to See:

  • High School diploma (HSD) or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Minimum three (3) years of related experience and/or training in Billing and Coding; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid Driver's license required and must be insurable by agency's automobile insurance.
