Home Location: 610 Valley Health Plaza, Paramus NJ
Training Location: 365 West Passaic Street, Rochelle Park
On-site M-F: 8:00 am - 4:00pm / 9:00 am - 5:00 pm 4 days, 1 late shift 1:30 - 9:30pm; Possible for Saturday Coverage.
Salary: $21.63 per hour / $45K

Job Summary:
As an Administrative Support Specialist, you will work assisting the Addiction Recovery Services division, providing administrative and clerical support to management, prescribers, staff, and clients.

In this entry-level role, you will have the benefit of working face-to-face with our clients and linking them to services to help them in their journey and directly assisting prescribers. Additionally, you will gain operational knowledge of a Non-profit and a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic in your work with our various departments, prescribers, mental health and substance use providers.

What You Will Do:

  • Provides administrative and clerical support to management, staff and clients in addiction services, therapy sessions or groups, which may include in-person or virtual administrative tasks, such as typing, record-keeping maintenance, filing data collection, billing preparation, insurance verifications, report preparation, consumer contact log tracking and reporting, and data entry
  • Serves as greeter and virtual/in-person check-in for client appointments at the front desk, Admissions department, and Open Access.
  • Answer the telephone and provide routine information. Assist clients (over the phone and in-person) by communicating in a positive, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Upload, verify, review, and update demographic, insurance eligibility, and insurance information in the agency electronic health record.
  • Work thoroughly with the client records from enrollment to discharge.
  • Assist the division with daytime and evening intensive outpatient groups
  • Prepare monthly reporting and invoices for services rendered
  • Has General knowledge of all insurance benefits and coverage, as well as Patient Verification Systems - Evolv NX, MyAbility, Navinet, NJMMIS is a plus.

What We Are Looking For:

  • High School diploma (HSD) or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 6 months to two years receptionist experience in the medical or mental health field
  • Valid Driver's license required and must be insurable by agency's automobile insurance.
