Administrative Support Specialist FT

Job Summary:
You will provide administrative and clerical support to management, staff and clients, such as the following but not limited to: typing, record keeping maintenance (i.e. program, client charts), data entry, billing preparation, insurance verifications, generating reports, and consumer contact log tracking. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

What You Will Do:

  • Serve as greeter for walk-ins or scheduled face-to-face/telehealth appointments
  • Verify, review, and update demographic and insurance information in the agency electronic health record
  • General knowledge of all insurance benefit and coverage, as well as Patient Verification Systems - Evolv NX, MyAbility, Navinet, NJMMIS is a plus.
  • Verify insurance benefits and eligibility.
  • Upload benefits in the agency Electronic Health Record
  • Collect payment at the time of service and/or collects past balances from the client, virtually or in-person.
  • Answer telephone and provide routine information. Assist clients (over the phone and in-person) by communicating in a positive, friendly and professional manner.
  • Schedule appointment, conduct appointment confirmations/reminder.
  • Perform clerical functions; copy/scan documents, complete department orders etc.
  • Maintain office equipment - printer, fax/scanner
  • Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization

What We Need to See:

  • High School diploma (HSD) or General Education Degree (GED); Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Two years minimum receptionist experience in the medical or mental health field
  • Valid Driver's license required and must be insurable by agency's automobile insurance.
