Onsite FT 40- Monday-Friday 9am-5pm or 9:30am-5:30pm

Job Summary:
As an Admissions and Triage Specialist, you will provide therapeutic phone response and crisis intervention counseling to clients in need of mental health assistance. You will respond to the individual needs of clients and their families.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide assessments, referrals and linkages under supervision of Clinical Manager.
  • Triage all clients via phone, handles walk ins if applicable
  • Serve as support staff to Admissions & Triage team including clinicians and prescribers
  • Gather relevant clinical information, including conducting a risk assessment
  • Schedule clients for services and possess understanding of all CPNJ services.
  • Provide crisis de-escalation, advocacy, and education to clients
  • Complete insurance verification & authorization as assigned
  • Enter insurance information into billing systems & assist with posting charges as assigned
  • Recognize and address gaps in service and actively collaborate for resolution
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and cross-functional action teams

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Human Services, psychology, or other related field from an accredited college or university
  • One (1) plus years' experience in mental health, substance abuse, crisis intervention, job coaching and job development preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required and must be insurable by agency's automobile insurance.
