Certified Medical Assistant

Location: 610 Valley Health Plaza, Paramus NJ
On-site / Temporary (with opportunity for ft employment): Present to January/February
Hourly Rate: $25.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Job Summary:

As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of our prescribers. Additionally, you will assist in the administrative tasks to ensure client records are up-to-date and accurate.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide excellent customer service in all job functions
  • Interview patients, measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on patients' charts
  • Administer injections
  • Perform Phlebotomy
  • Manage patient flow and preps patients and prepare them for providers
  • Reconcile medication, refill medications, and retrieve medical records from hospitals/offices
  • Maintain inventories and order medical supplies and materials
  • Give injections or treatments, and perform routine laboratory tests
  • Schedule appointments, answer phones, and route messages to the appropriate staff
  • Keep x-ray, labs and other medical records, perform administrative tasks, and complete insurance forms

What We Are Looking For:

  • High School degree or GED equivalent
  • Certified Medical Assistant from a college or technical school
  • 1+ year of experience as a medical assistant
  • Certified as Phlebotomy Technician from an accredited school
  • Valid Driver's license required and must be insurable by agency's automobile insurance.
