Program Manager of Families First

Location: Fair Lawn
FT 40 hours / Flexible Schedule based on Families Availability
Salary: $65,000

Job Summary:

As the Families First Program Manager, you will promote the philosophy, beliefs and values of the program model and oversee the successful operations of the agency's Family Preservation Services program. You will actively assist the staff with their assigned families, including at time of intervention, case assignments, and periodic in-home visits.


What You Will Do:

  • Actively assist staff in their work with families
  • Discuss and assess safety needs of workers and families
  • Provide weekly case consultation and weekly individual supervision
  • Assess training needs of staff and provide on-site teaching of skills
  • Review outcome date and provide routine feedback on outcomes for mechanism for achieving positive results
  • Recruit, hire, and evaluate staff
  • Participate in regular meetings without FPS managers and supervisors, including meetings with DCP&P
  • Established and maintain relationships with RDS, local CP&P administrative and casework staff, and other resources.
  • Conduct short and long-term, goal-directed planning to address counselors and program needs
  • Submit month reports to identified DCF Reporting Liaison


What We Need to See:

  • Master's Degree in the field of social work, psychology, or related field
  • 5-year related experience in providing treatment
  • 2 years supervisory experience
  • A valid driver's license must be insurable by the agency's automobile insurance.
