Job Summary:
As the Program Manager of Healthy Families, you will assist in the supervision of case managers in providing quality care to families with infants who are referred by Social Services. You will assist families in need of General and/or Emergency Assistance, and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families by providing intensive direct prevention services to new parents seeking support in facilitating a balanced family dynamic. You will also aid staff to engage in prenatal and postnatal screenings, assessment, and therapeutic support planning to help families reach stabilization and effective coordination of care. Additionally, you will be responsible for attending monthly meetings, coordinating services with community partners, and submitting reports to HF-TIP & PCA-NJ.


What You Will Do:

  • Provide ongoing, intensive, professional supervision to full-time and part-time direct staff. This may include one or both components of service, family support or family assessment.
  • Participate in achieving programs’ short- and long-term goals, program and staff development, and monitor performance of staff members.
  • Access training resources and provide on-going education to staff; educate staff on community and internal resources for effective service provision; provide community education.
  • Conduct quality assurance activities, record reviews, and maintain data collection system.
  • Recognize and identify gaps in services and actively collaborate with the community and other providers to develop resolutions.
  • Facilitate and participate in team meetings, Advisory Board Meetings, Division, and TIP & supervisory Prevent Child Abuse meetings.
  • Provide assessment, documentation, and support planning of individuals and families, assist with case management, and community outreach to market referral resources.
  • Coordinate program’s services with other system partners and service providers.
  • Act as a liaison with other agencies and responsible for soliciting community donations and help with administrative tasks, as assigned.

What We Are Looking For:

  • BA/Master’s degree with child development knowledge from accredited college or university
  • At least three (3) years documented work experience with children and families
  • (1) Year experience in supervision staff in program and team meetings
  • Knowledge and experience in providing support to staff in stressful work environments
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
