Job Summary:

As the Addiction Recovery Services Therapist, you will provide counseling and support to individuals struggling with substance use disorders and behavioral addictions by assessing clients' needs, developing personalized treatment plans, and facilitating individual and group therapy sessions aimed at promoting recovery and preventing relapse. Work alongside a team of other healthcare professionals to provide a supportive network and ensure holistic and person-centered care.

What You Will Do:

  • Document service outcomes as per Care Plus and payer's policies and procedures
  • Assess and evaluate clients at intake and/or admission, during ongoing treatment and/or service delivery, and at discharge and/or transfer
  • Provide services and supportive interventions, including case management, link to community resources, and provide inter-agency coordination of treatment.
  • Respond to clients for crisis intervention
  • Plan for communicating and documenting discharge/aftercare/transfer plans for clients completing treatment and/or accessing other services in the continuum.
  • Assist client with concrete services and advocacy, interface with other systems on behalf of the client, provide and engage in inter-organizational care coordination, and follow up on referrals when indicated by initial and ongoing assessment
  • Assist with problem-solving for individual and family member treatment and supportive interventions.
  • Supervises students or junior staff as assigned by supervisor and document supervision as required.
  • Provides educational/supportive group presentations and discussions with clients and/or family members focused on mental illness, chemical dependency/addictions, and/or dual diagnosis.


What We Need to See:

  • Master's degree in social work or other behavioral health disciplines from an accredited college or university
  • 2 years of clinical experience and documented knowledge of a least one (1) year of work experience counseling substance use and/or co-occurring populations
  • MCO panel eligible, as applicable
  • Prof. License as required by the program's requirements (LAC, LSW, and LCADC)
  • A valid driver's license and must be insurable by the agency's automobile insurance.
