Job Summary:
The Associate Clinical Informaticist supports the optimization, analysis, and continuous improvement of clinical information systems within the electronic health record. This role partners closely with billing, clinical, operational, quality, and IT teams to enhance clinical workflows, reporting, and data-driven decision-making across behavioral health and human services settings. The role places strong emphasis on leveraging Microsoft for Healthcare technologies, including Power BI, Power Automate, and SQL, to support analytics, workflow automation, regulatory reporting, and clinical quality initiatives.

What You Will Do:

  • Support configuration, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of EHR clinical workflows, forms, assessments, order sets, and documentation tools.
  • Partner with clinicians and operational leaders to analyze clinical workflows and identify opportunities for efficiency, quality improvement, and user experience enhancements.
  • Assist with EHR upgrades, new module implementations, testing, validation, and post-go-live support.
  • Translate clinical and operational requirements into functional specifications for system configuration and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support clinical quality, operational performance, utilization management, and regulatory reporting.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze data from EEHR databases, data warehouses, and integrated systems.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting solutions.
  • Partner with quality and compliance teams to support reporting requirements (e.g., HEDIS, state reporting, value-based care, outcome measures, and CCBHC).
  • Design and maintain Power Automate workflows to streamline clinical, administrative, and data-related processes (e.g., alerts, task routing, approvals, data synchronization).
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual work and improve timeliness through automation and system integration.
  • Support integration between EHR and Microsoft tools to enhance end-user productivity and data accessibility.

What We Need to See:

  • A bachelor's in computer science, IT, Data Analytics, Computer Engineering
  • 1-2 years' experience with database administration & management, electronic health record preferred OR
  • Master' degree in computer science, IT, Data Analytics, Computer Engineering with 6 months of experience in this case.
  • Must have strong knowledge of SQL, Power Query, and Power BI
  • Netsmart EVOLV configuration and optimization
  • Behavioral health clinical workflows
