Program Manager of School Based Services

Location: Multiple locations in Bergen & Essex counties (elementary, middle, and high schools)
Schedule FT 40: 10-month contract, 8-4pm or 7:30-3:30pm
Salary: $58-65k

Job Summary:
You will provide individual and family therapy (as appropriate) for clients/students who are referred to the program for counseling services. Work in the school district alongside the staff to deliver high-quality, mental health care to students.

What You Will Do:

  • Assess and/or evaluate clients at intake and/or admission, during ongoing treatment and/or service delivery, and at discharge/transfer
  • Respond to clients for crisis intervention.
  • Function within an interdisciplinary team in the assessment and/or evaluation of clients, articulates verbally and in written documentation the integration of client history and assessment information.
  • Provide leadership within the team, collaborates on initiatives to engage and serve youth, documents services in the clinical record, engages in inter-organizational care coordination, and documents service outcomes.
  • Formulate psychosocial treatment plans, with relevant goals, behaviorally measurable objectives that serve as indexes for evaluating treatment progress, and realistic time frames for achievement.
  • Plan, communicate, and document discharge/aftercare/transfer plans for clients completing treatment and/or accessing other services in the continuum.
  • Document assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and discharge summaries in the clinical record, with all entries authenticated and time/dated

What We Need to See:

  • A Master's Degree in Social Work or other behavioral health disciplines from an accredited college or university.
  • NJ License as required by program: LAC, LSW, LAMFT LCSW, LPC, or LMFT
  • At least two (2) years of experience providing clinical services to youth and families.
  • Some administrative experience in human service or related program(s), including experience in quality assurance/improvement and program development.
  • Bilingual (Arabic, Creole, Korean, Polish, Spanish) a plus
  • A valid driver's license is required and must be insurable by the agency's automobile insurance.
